According to Miramar Police, they believe a neighbor called 911 after finding their neighbor on the ground in the 21000 block of Southwest 176th Avenue.

Police said the woman’s family, including her 16-year-old daughter, was inside the home when the incident happened.

She was later identified as 56-year-old Lucrecia Cardozo.

While family members didn’t want to speak, her ex-husband told NBC6 that they are in shock.

Neighbors described Cardozo as a nice woman.

“Just be careful,” said an officer. “There could be power lines, anything, be careful picking mangoes. Watch your kids and height of the trees. Our hearts go out to the family, but accidents can happen at any time.”
