A violent night at a Miramar gas station ended with one man stabbed and a massive police search to find the suspect on the run.

Investigators said they know who they’re looking for, but the suspect still hasn’t been caught.
It happened just before 10 p.m. in western Miramar along Miramar Parkway near 172nd Avenue.
Police said an altercation between two men escalated at a gas station there on Wednesday night, leaving one man with serious injuries.

Authorities confirmed the victim was stabbed and injured so badly they had to be airlifted to a trauma center.

Officers with Miramar police flooded the area with K-9s, and had extra help with their search from Broward sheriff’s deputies and helicopter, in an attempt to find the suspect.
“The police know who they’re looking for, but they’re still asking the public if they see or hear anything suspicious to report it immediately, because he is still at large,” Janice McIntosh, the senior PIO manager for Miramar police, said.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim or the suspect, and investigators have not said what led up to the altercation.
No gas station employees were involved.
