A man accused of driving onto a sidewalk while under the influence and ignoring marked patrol cars blocking the road with their lights on in Hillsborough County was arrested, deputies said.

Leela Padileti, 29, was charged with DUI.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, at around 3 a.m., Padileti was driving in a blue Kia Sportage down Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and North 43rd Street.

Deputies said Padileti entered an active crime scene, where they were working on a traffic fatality scene.

Padileti demonstrated some confusion, originally denying that he had drinks, but later admitting he had gone clubbing and drinking with his friend, according to the arrest footage released by the HCSO.

Body camera video shows Padileti saying “I thought I completed it. Can I try it again?” after failing a sobriety test.

Padileti was then cuffed and told he was going to jail by the deputy.
