Shou Mei Yuan, 53, was arrested Tuesday at 88 Leaf Clover Spa, where Sunrise Police Department’s Strategic Investigations Section detectives conducted an undercover prostitution operation, according to a police report.
According to the report, an undercover detective entered the establishment where he met with Yuan. The officer requested a massage and was charged $50.
Yuan performed a full-body massage for approximately 30 minutes, and then “made overt actions with her hand, signifying sexual acts,” adding that it would be $100, the report said. The undercover detective declined.
Afterward, detectives and an investigator with the Department of Health entered the spa, where they detained Yuan and another employee for questioning, authorities said.

Detectives found that not only did Yuan not possess a license as a massage therapist, but 88 Leaf Clover Spa was also operating without a license, the report said.
Yuan denied providing any type of massage or sexual acts to clients, detectives said.
She was charged with fraud/impersonating/misrepresenting herself as a licensed masseur, practicing without or with a suspended license, and engaging/committing/offering prostitution, records show.
