Elio Jesus Rodriguez-Garcia, 24, was arrested Tuesday on four counts of attempted manslaughter with a deadly weapon and one count of unlawfully discharging a firearm in a public place, an arrest report said.
According to the report, Rodriguez-Garcia was at his apartment on Southwest 242nd Street when a male who he’d been arguing with online through WhatsApp messages showed up at the front gate of his complex.
Rodriguez-Garcia heard the male yelling and saw him at the gate, so he armed himself with a rifle and went to his balcony, the report said.
The two had a verbal argument and at some point, Rodriguez-Garcia fired two warning shots, the report said.

The bullet was found in the bus and a spent shell casing was found in the rear of Rodriguez-Garcia’s apartment, the report said.
