A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office corrections deputy was arrested in Hialeah for allegedly molesting a teen girl, police said.

Manuel De Jesus Chaveco Delgado, 42, is facing three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child between 12 and 16 and one count of showing obscene material to a minor, Hialeah Police officials said Wednesday.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim told investigators the incidents with Chaveco Delgado happened when she was between the ages of 13 and 15.
During the encounters she said he physically touched her breasts or genitals over five times in his vehicle, the warrant said.

Chaveco Delgado was taken into custody Tuesday night and booked into jail.
He appeared before a judge on Wednesday who set his bond at $65,000 and ordered him to surrender his passport.
Hialeah Police said they’ve been investigating the case since earlier this month, working with Hialeah Gardens Police and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.

It remains an active investigation, police said.
