For those driving to a World Cup game in Miami, the big problem is where to park. If you don’t want to spend a few hundred dollars parking at the stadium, homeowners who live nearby are providing a solution.

Kristian Clark has been living in her Miami Gardens home her entire life. The 36-year-old said over three years ago, she was approached by the app Prked.
“I am the one that first started [Prked] and put multiple of my neighbors on,” Clark said.
The app allows users to search for a location and rent out a parking space for a desired amount of time. The rate is decided by the homeowner.
“The price range, it varies, but it’s always going to be $40 and up,” Clark said.
And homeowners right by the stadium take advantage of the business on event days, with the World Cup being no exception. Depending on the event, Clark said she can make up to thousands of dollars in profit.

A simple scroll on the app shows that almost all of the homes in the area have opened their yards to parkers daily.
“Oh, extra income!” Clark said.
And while it’s a profitable side gig, she takes it seriously. She considers herself all-in-one: the designated valet person, security and more.
“Yes, I’m all that. I’m meet and greet,” she laughed.
The whole property can hold close to 50. And this World Cup has already brought some interesting requests,
“[A client] called me to reach out asking for three [spaces], and I said, how big? And they said, Greyhound. And I said, I have space for that,” Clark said.
Front lawns and backyards in this neighborhood are ready to welcome any and all soccer fans.
