In one incident, the teen used a school-issued laptop to report multiple domestic-related homicides at a location in Pompano Beach, adding that a victim was falsely imprisoned and a violent encounter with law enforcement was imminent, the affidavit said.

In another incident, he contacted non-emergency number and said he was engaged in an active shooter incident in Pompano Beach, saying he had shot multiple people and was going to continue killing people, the affidavit said.

He also reported that a bomb had been placed at the Sawgrass Mills shopping mall, as well as multiple shootings or home invasions in Hollywood, Lauderhill and Miramar.

In one case, he reported a suspicious device with “wires sticking out of them” that were making beeping noises at two homes in Hollywood, and said they had been placed by a man dressed in “Arab suits,” the affidavit said.

Records showed the teen was booked into a Broward detention center on May 8 on charges including making a false report concerning the use of firearms in a violent manner, making a false report concerning placing or planting a bomb, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and extortion.
