The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident, which happened around 3:40 a.m. on July 5 in the area of Northwest 25th Street and Northwest 76th Avenue.

In a news release Thursday, the sheriff’s office said investigators have determined a black sedan struck two females in the roadway during the intersection takeover.

One victim remained laying in the roadway while the sedan maneuvered around her and fled the scene, officials said.

As a man ran toward her to render aid, he was struck by an older model gold Ford Expedition with a dark gray lower body, authorities said.

The Expedition then ran over the female victim who was laying in the roadway before fleeing the scene.

Neither driver stopped to give aid to the three victims, who were taken to a local hospital.

Anyone with information about the drivers or vehicles is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 305-471-2800.
