Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office officials said deputies and fire rescue crews responded to the station at 1125 E. 25th Street around 7:20 a.m. and found the victim suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The victim, whose identity wasn’t released, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
According to an arrest report, the victim had arrived at the station when he noticed a woman and her boyfriend, who was in possession of his bicycle that had been stolen earlier Wednesday.
There was a confrontation among the three and the victim armed himself with a broomstick which he used to hit the woman after she approached him, the report said.
The woman was able to arm herself with a broken piece of the broomstick and hit the victim, while her boyfriend started punching and striking the victim, the report said.
