A Pompano Beach family on Sunday was left cleaning up after a Tesla slammed into their home overnight, leaving behind major damage before the people inside ran away.

NBC6 spoke to the homeowners, who said they’re grateful that no one inside was hurt. But now, they’re left dealing with extensive damage to their home and cars, and they’re hoping the people seen running from the scene will come forward.
Home surveillance video captured the moment when the Tesla plowed straight into the garage.
Seconds later, Ring Camera video showed a man checking on the driver.
He then pulled him out of the window, and another man showed up and helped pull the driver out of the car.
The driver was seen visibly hurt as another man grabbed a backpack from inside the car, and then they ran away.
The damage left behind was staggering.
Cellphone video taken by the homeowners showed a Lexus SUV with damage to the passenger side and window.
And parked next to it, there was a Range Rover with major damage to the passenger side.
Debris was scattered across the driveway, and the Tesla was left crumpled after it crashed into the garage of the home.

The garage door was seen caved in.
“At 3:30 in the morning, we heard a loud noise like a bomb, the house shake,” Orene Terry said.
Terry told NBC6 that the impact was so powerful that it even damaged the attic inside their home. But she said she’s thankful it didn’t end much worse.
“If the cars and the other stuff was not there, they would have continued and came into my bedroom while I was sleeping, and it would have been a whole different story,” she said.
As she’s left picking up the pieces, she’s hoping the men in the video come forward.
“It’s very frustrating, and especially since they didn’t stick around,” she said. “Accidents happen, I get that, but when you don’t take ownership of it, and you take off and leave, that’s what’s the hurtful part.”
NBC6 has reached out to the Broward Sheriff’s Office for more information about the crash and whether anyone has been identified or located.
