Tanyla Christyanna Gamble, 25, was arrested on battery charges, Broward jail records showed.

The alleged incident happened Wednesday night, when officers responded to Fire Station 107 for a physical altercation involving two firefighters, an arrest report said.

The report said Gamble and the other firefighter had previously been romantically involved for about two years and had ended the relationship about a month ago.

Investigators said Gamble entered the victim’s room and initiated a verbal argument, which escalated to a physical confrontation.

At one point, Gamble started punching him, including one that landed on the back of his head and caused a visible bump, the report said.

The investigation revealed Gamble was the primary aggressor, and she was arrested, the report said.

Gamble was booked into jail. Attorney information wasn’t released.

In a statement, Miramar Fire Rescue officials said Gamble was placed on administrative leave until the investigation is complete.

“The Department takes matters involving the conduct of its personnel seriously. The allegations are currently being handled by the appropriate law enforcement agency and remain part of an ongoing investigation,” the statement read, in part. “Miramar Fire Rescue is cooperating as appropriate and will also address this matter in accordance with City and Department policies and applicable personnel procedures.”
