A crash in Miami Beach involving a Miami-Dade bus led to evacuations and road closures on Monday morning.

According to police, it happened at around 4:12 a.m. in the 8600 block of Harding Avenue.
The Miami-Dade County transit bus came to rest against the building at 315 86th Street, “striking the building’s gas piping and causing a possible gas leak,” police said.
The building was evacuated as a precaution while first responders secured the scene.

The Miami Beach Fire Department took two people to Mount Sinai Medical Center for respiratory difficulties, police said.
All northbound and southbound lanes along Harding Avenue and Collins Court between 85th and 88th streets were closed. Westbound lanes on 86th Street and Byron Avenue are also closed, police said.

The closures have since reopened.
