A man has been arrested after he shot his brother during an argument in Plantation over the weekend, police said.

Eric Zavala, 29, is facing a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in the shooting that happened Saturday afternoon in the 4200 block of Northwest 5th Street, Plantation Police said.
Officers had responded to reports of a shooting and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses at the scene immediately identified Zavala as the shooter, and he was taken into custody, police said.
Detectives later determined the shooting happened during an argument between two people who are known to each other.

An arrest report said the shooting victim was Zavala’s brother.
The shooting remains under investigation.
