A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade earlier this month that left three people including a 2-year-old boy hospitalized, records show.

Justin Ramirez, 24, was arrested Friday on four counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of shooting or throwing a deadly missile, and one count of using or displaying a firearm during a felony and discharging a firearm from a vehicle in the shooting that happened back on July 5, an arrest report said.
According to the report, three gunshot victims arrived at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in a green BMW that was riddled with bullets and had blood inside.
Among the victims who were in the BMW was a person who was shot in the chest, another who was shot in the arm and knee, and the 2-year-old who was in a child safety seat when he was shot in the thigh, the report said. the BMW’s driver wasn’t injured,
It was later determined that the shooting happened in the area of Northwest 22nd Avenue and Northwest 36th Street, where 13 spent shell casings and a projectile were found.
A witness who was in a nearby vehicle said he heard multiple gunshots and felt glass hit his neck, then looked in his rearview mirror and saw a man standing out of a sunroom and opening fire on another vehicle, the report said.

Investigators used surveillance footage to identify a suspect vehicle, an Audi Q8, and discovered Ramirez had been cited by Lauderhill Police for a traffic violation while driving the car on June 13, the report said.
On July 1, a license plate reader captured the Audi at Bayfront Park and Ramirez posted a photo of himself that same day at Bayfront Park attending the FIFA fan fest, the report said.
Investigators also found a photo of Ramirez sitting in the Audi “holding a bottle of Sprite with purple liquid consistent with promethazine codeine syrup,” the report said.
The Audi was later found by detectives at Ramirez’s home with his fingerprints inside, and records showed Ramirez’s phone was at the scene of the shooting, the report said.
On Friday, Ramirez was found driving and fled from police on foot during a traffic stop but was captured a short time later, the report said.
