Boatwright allegedly assaulted her for six hours.
Afterward, the victim called police to report what happened. Officers said the victim had bruises on her face and markings, suggesting she was strangled.
Police said when they arrived at the scene, the victim and Boatwright were still there. According to the arrest affidavit, Boatwright said the intercourse was consensual and that the two knew each other. The victim reportedly said she did not know who he was.
Boatwright refused to appear at his bond court hearing Tuesday. He’s being held on no bond in Broward’s Main Jail and was ordered to stay away from the victim.
