Tyrone Daley, 56, was arrested Sunday on four counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, Broward jail records showed.

According to an arrest report, Daley, who lives in Miramar, worked at the Publix at 1400 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard.

On Feb. 17, Hallandale Beach Police responded to the store and met with the victim’s mother, who is also a Publix employee, and who said her daughter told her a male employee had touched and squeezed her breast and vagina over her clothes in the break room, the report said.

The girl said another similar incident had happened two days earlier, and said the same employee had been touching her inappropriately for about three years, since she was 10, the report said.

Surveillance footage from Feb. 17 showed the victim entering the break room and a couple minutes later Daley looking around before entering, and the girl pointed out Daley as the man who touched her, the report said.

The girl’s mother told investigators she would bring her daughter to work when she didn’t have a babysitter to watch her and said the daughter would sit in the break room while she worked her shift.

The victim, who has been diagnosed with mild to moderate autism, told investigators she always tells the man no but he continued to touch her against her will, the report said.

She described one incident, possibly from December, when he grabbed her wrist and started touching her, and said he never touched her when other employees are in the break room but has blown her “air kisses,” the report said.

Investigators spoke with Daley, who denied touching her and said he’s never had any interaction with the victim other than seeing her in the break room, the report said.

Daley told detectives his DNA won’t be on the girl but when her clothing was taken for analysis, Daley’s DNA was found on the crotch area of her pajama pants, the report said.

During Daley’s bond court appearance on Monday, his defense attorney asked for a reasonable bond, saying he turned himself in and has no prior arrest record. The attorney also said Daley has worked at the store for four years and his DNA would be all over the break room.

The judge ordered him held without bond for now.
