Newly obtained surveillance video shows the moments before a stolen SUV led police on a chase from Hallandale Beach into Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale, sending two officers to the hospital and ending with armed officers storming a home where children were inside.

The Ring camera video shows a white 2024 Land Rover parked in the driveway of a home in Hallandale Beach’s Golden Isles neighborhood Thursday.
A man wearing red shorts is then seen running in a crouched position toward the passenger side of the SUV before jumping inside. Moments later, the vehicle’s ignition can be heard starting.
Another video, which NBC6 is not yet airing, shows a black BMW pulling up to the home. The BMW later drives away, followed by the Land Rover.
A relative of the Land Rover’s owner began following the vehicles and took a picture of the BMW’s license plate.
What is believed to be the same black BMW was later seen in Fort Lauderdale following a police chase.
Chopper 6 captured officers with their guns drawn, taking cover behind a black truck. A short time later, several people — including young children — were seen walking out of a home with their hands raised.

At least four people were detained, but police have not said whether anyone was arrested.
Several armed officers also entered the home, and the black BMW was later towed from the scene.
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded, including Hallandale Beach Police.
Police said officers were investigating a reported stolen vehicle when the driver took off, leading them on a chase into Hollywood before it ended in Fort Lauderdale.
Chopper 6 also captured the scene where two police cruisers collided during the incident. Two officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
NBC6 was told the BMW believed to have been used as a getaway car was also stolen and had stolen license plates.
The stolen Land Rover was totaled after crashing on Interstate 95.
NBC6 has reached out to the Hallandale Beach Police Department for additional information and to officially confirm how the incidents are connected.
