Two Ukrainian men were arrested in South Florida after being accused of placing a skimming device on a credit card machine at a supermarket, authorities said.

Pylyp Voinov, 45, and Anton Levkun, 41, were charged with unlawful use of a scanning device and organized scheme to defraud /conspiracy.
During Voinov’s court appearance on Monday, a judge set his bonds at $5,000.
Levkun has since paid his bond.
According to authorities, on Monday, officers arrived at a Sabor Tropical Supermarket in West Miami after receiving reports of two men who were accused of putting a skimming device on a credit card device.
An arrest report said the store’s manager and a witness saw the duo inside the store and waited until officers arrived.
When officers arrived in the area, they saw Voinov and Levkun walking on Eighth Street and carrying several shopping bags from the supermarket, the report said.
Levkun, the report said, also had his fingertips wrapped in plastic wrap, and he started removing the wrap and tossed it on the floor when he noticed an officer saw it.

Surveillance video at the supermarket that was reviewed by officers showed Levkun covering the credit card machine with an aluminum tray and starting to distract the cashier, while Voinov put the skimmer onto the credit card reader, the report said.
An employee at the supermarket, the report said, was seen using a device and a translation app as she tried to communicate with Levkun, and he paid her in cash, and then he and Voinov left the supermarket.
An officer was able to find the skimmer, and it was taken into evidence, while Voinov was placed in a cruiser. A translation app was used to ask him where his car was, the report said.
After his car was found and towed, Voinov and Levkun were arrested.
Records show that the two live in Brooklyn, New York and have U.K. citizenship.
Voinov also claims to be a boxer with 20 years of experience and offers boxing lessons in New York.
