Three men are facing charges after authorities said they broke into a southwest Miami-Dade home while a teen was alone inside and stole nearly $360,000 in cash.

The incident happened a little after 1 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the area of Southwest 157th Avenue and Southwest 181st Terrace.
According to arrest reports, the 14-year-old was home alone when the three suspects arrived, jumped over a cement fence and entered the backyard.
The suspects tried to pry open a window but were unsuccessful, then used a screwdriver to pry open the French doors, the reports said.
Once inside, they ransacked a bedroom and stole nearly $360,000 in cash, the reports said.
A Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office aviation unit responded and the suspects were seen fleeing the home in a SUV, the reports said.

The aviation unit followed until the car was stopped by authorities on the ground and the three men were taken into custody.
The suspects – Antonio Mesa and Leonel A. Ramirez, both 47, and 49-year-old Pablo Arrecha-Valeta – were arrested on charges including burglary of an occupied dwelling, grand theft, and criminal mischief, the reports said.
Mesa and Ramirez were also charged with possession of burglary tools.
The reports said Ramirez refused to speak with investigators but Arrecha-Valeta and Mesa gave verbal and written statements implicating their involvement in the crime.
All three appeared before a judge on Wednesday, who ordered them held without bond. Arrecha-Valeta and Ramirez also have immigration holds, records showed.
