A blueberry product has been recalled in Florida after possible exposure to E. coli.

There are 12 confirmed cases of consumers having stomach illness linked to E. coli O145, according to Publix.

If you have purchased frozen GreenWise Organic IQF Blueberries from your Publix, you may have been exposed to E. coli O145.

Publix said the affected product lot is:

Product: Frozen GreenWise Organic IQF Blueberries
Package Size: 10 oz
Lot Code: 60401
Best By Date: February 9, 2028

Publix says anyone who purchased the product should return or discard the affected lot if they bought it on or before July 3.

The affected product was shipped to eight states, including Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolinas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia.

E. coli O145 can cause severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting.

Publix said, while healthy individuals tend to recover within a week, there could be serious complications like, hemolytic uremic syndrome for younger children, older adults, and those with lower immune systems.

Hemolytic uremic syndrome can block your blood flow and hurt vital organs.
