An altercation in Hollywood over the weekend became deadly after a man was shot, police said.

Devian Blount, 21, was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm.
According to Hollywood Police, on Saturday, at around 12:52 a.m., officers arrived at the 1900 block of Funston Street after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man inside a home who had been shot.
The man was given first aid and was then taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he died.

He was identified as 21-year-old Jaydon Williams.
During their investigation, detectives learned that Blount and Williams came from North Carolina to Hollywood with a group of friends.
At one point in the evening, there was an altercation, and Williams was fatally shot, police said.

Blount was then found and taken into custody.
