Carlos Jean, 37, was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation on a child 12-16 years old and battery.

According to Miami Gardens Police, on Monday, officers arrived at Carol City Middle School after receiving reports of a 12-year-old who was molested.

An arrest report said that the victim was walking along the sidewalk on her way to school when Jean parked his truck near the area, got out and went towards the victim quickly.

When Jean went up to the victim, he told her he wanted to “trick her out,” and spoil her and called her beautiful, the report said. He also asked her if she had ever received oral sex, had a boyfriend and then asked for her age.

The victim, the report said, told Jean that she was 12 years old, and Jean asked her “When do you turn thirteen?”

Jean then continued to tell the victim that he wanted to give her his phone number, and out of fear, she agreed, and Jean wrote his number on her arm after she gave him a pen, the report said.

As Jean returned the pen to the victim, the report said, he touched her over her pants, which caused her to jump back, and she headed to the school. Jean then made his way back to his truck.

During their investigation, officers looked at school cameras, which showed Jean talking with the victim and corroborated the allegations against him.

On Tuesday, the victim was able to identify Jean during a photo line-up.

Jean was then found in the same area where the incident happened, and he was arrested, the report said.
