Ahmed Mohammed, 34, and Serguey Artigas, 47, were arrested Sunday on charges of battery and child abuse with no great bodily harm, arrest reports said.

The alleged incident happened at the Tesla charging stations at a shopping plaza in the 21200 block of Biscayne Boulevard.

According to the arrest reports, the teen victim said he was attempting to park his Tesla at the charging stations when he got into a verbal dispute with two men over a parking space.

He said one of the men got out of a vehicle, pushed him then grabbed him to move him away from the parking space, the reports said.

The teen said he stood in front of the parking space and the driver of the vehicle reversed into him, hitting him in the leg.

The driver parked while the teen said he photographed the men and went to a different part of the shopping plaza, the reports said.

After officers arrived, Mohammed and Artigas were found nearby and matched the descriptions of the men involved, the reports said.

Both men agreed to speak with officers.

“Mohammed stated he became involved in a verbal dispute with a juvenile over a parking space because the juvenile had allegedly skipped the line,” the reports said.

Mohammed denied placing his hands on the teen and Artigas said there had only been a verbal argument and denied hitting the teen with his vehicle, the reports said.

But multiple witnesses told police they saw the teen get pushed and saw the driver hit him, the reports said.

“Based upon the victim’s statement, the consistent accounts provided by multiple independent witnesses, my investigation, and the totality of the circumstances, probable cause was established that Ahmed Mohammed committed a battery upon [the teen] by intentionally pushing and grabbing him, and that Serguey Artigas intentionally used hit motor vehicle to strike [the teen] during the confrontation,” the reports said.

Mohammed and Artigas were arrested and booked into jail. The teen refused medical treatment.
