Detectives told NBC6 that it all started just before 8:45 p.m., when deputies showed up to the site of the first armed carjacking near Southwest 67th Avenue and Bird Road.
There, detectives said they found someone beaten and stabbed, with his vehicle stolen.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital in critical condition.
Later that night, deputies responded to similar scenarios in the West Kendall area – either robberies or carjackings – including one near Southwest 137th Avenue and Miller Drive, and then another at a gas station on Southwest 157th avenue and Kendall Drive.

In both cases, paramedics took the victims to the hospital.
Deputies said they later spotted one of the stolen cars at Southwest 152nd avenue and Sunset Drive, with the suspected carjacker running away from it.
They were able to chase that suspected thief down, and take the person into custody.
Friday morning, robbery detectives took over the case and are working to figure out if the incidents are all related to the person they now have in custody.
