A Miami-Dade motorman was taken to the hospital on Saturday after being involved in a crash in Southwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, just after 12 p.m., there was a crash involving the deputy and a vehicle in the area of Southwest 248th Street and 112th Avenue.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and took the deputy to the hospital in stable condition.

MDSO said that the deputy was turning westbound onto Southwest 248th Street when he saw debris in the road, which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle.

No other injuries were reported.

An investigation is underway.
