The crash happened Wednesday evening at the intersection of 9th Street and Meridian Avenue.
The video from a nearby apartment shows a police vehicle go through the intersection with lights flashing moments before two police ATVs approach with lights flashing and sirens activated.
One of the ATVs appears to hit the curb or bushes and roll over, throwing the officer to the ground.

The officer on the other ATV stops and runs to help her as bystanders also assist and other officers arrive at the scene.
“Well it’s pretty shocking, you’re not expecting that, you have police officers involved in, you know, their own crash, was pretty loud, and people were totally shocked, looking at this police officer on the ground,” said Angel Urcola, who lives in the apartment.
Paramedics transported the female officer to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition, officials said.
