Deputies had responded to Lower Keys Medical Center on Stock Island on Sunday afternoon for a woman who showed up with a stab wound, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office officials said.
The woman, who had been stabbed with a sword, had a punctured lung that didn’t appear to be life-threatening as of Monday, authorities said.
Investigators discovered the woman had been robbed of a laptop computer and Diazepam medication while at a camper/trailer on 10th Avenue earlier Sunday.
The woman said one suspect stabbed her while others took part by holding her down, hitting her, or preventing her from leaving.
She said they eventually allowed her to change out of her bloody clothes and go to the hospital.
