Jeyson Javier, 32, of Opa-locka, and Daniela Alfonso Dominguez, 25, of Miami Gardens, were arrested Friday on charges including grand theft auto, child neglect without great bodily harm, and possession of burglary tools, arrest reports said.
According to the reports, detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team were following a Honda Civic driven by Javier that stopped at the parking lot of an apartment building at 2200 S. Ocean Drive in Hollywood.
Javier forcefully entered a Honda CRV and was able to turn it on and drive away, and the stolen CRV and the Civic made their way to Miami-Dade and stopped in Miami Gardens, the reports said.
At one point, Javier was seen ripping something out of the CRV, believed to be the GPS, before driving to an apartment complex on Northwest 17th Avenue in Miami Gardens, used as a “cool down” location for the stolen vehicle, the reports said.
Javier entered the Civic and drove away before detectives stopped the car and took Javier and the passenger, Dominguez, into custody, the reports said.

Detectives found the couple’s child sleeping in the back seat of the car, the reports said.
“They put [the child’s] life in danger as they drove around scouting cars for vehicles to steal and subsequently stealing a vehicle,” the reports said.
Also inside the Civic were multiple after-market Honda key fobs, consistent with reprogrammed keys to steal vehicles, a tablet used to reprogram vehicles, and multiple screwdrivers and other tools used to punch locks to enter vehicles, the reports said.
“Dominguez knew exactly what Javier was doing as he stole a vehicle, utilizing her vehicle to transport both of the[m] to the crime location, followed the stolen vehicle as Javier was driving it, transported the stolen vehicle to two separate locations, and picked up Javier as he stashed the stolen vehicle,” the reports said. “Though Dominguez was not the one that actually stole the CRV she assisted and facilitated the crime from beginning until they were arrested.”
Javier also had multiple outstanding warrants for loitering and prowling, resisting/obstructing, grand theft auto and driving with a suspended license.
