Doherty, 22, was charged with domestic battery.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, an officer on Friday arrived at the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court after receiving reports of a domestic dispute.

An arrest report said that the victim, Doherty’s girlfriend, told the officer that there was an argument between them, and she was in the entryway of the home when Doherty got into her face.

The victim then used her arm to create distance between the two, which caused Doherty to get scratch marks on his face and collarbone area, the report said.

Surveillance video, the report said, captured that incident.

As the argument between the two continued, the victim told the officer that she went upstairs to get her belongings, and Doherty got upset with her because she wanted to leave, the report said.

Doherty, the report said, then pushed the victim to the ground and used his hand around her neck to pin her down. The victim said she was able to breathe during the altercation.

Soon after, the victim grabbed a gun from the bedside table, held it by her side and warned Doherty that she would shoot him if he got near her, the report said.

Doherty was then arrested.

This isn’t the first time Doherty has been in trouble with the law in South Florida.

Doherty was previously arrested in Miami Beach on Nov. 15, 2025.

According to Miami Beach Police, officers were conducting a high-visibility enforcement detail in the 700 block of Washington Avenue when they noticed a group of people enter the roadway.

An arrest report said one of the people, identified as Doherty, was in the middle of the roadway to record video content, which created a safety hazard for drivers and himself.

As Doherty remained on the road, officers told him to move out of the roadway, but he refused, the report said.

After warning Doherty that he would be arrested if he didn’t follow the officer’s instructions, Doherty replied “Once I, done with this bet,” the report said.

Doherty, the report said, was then taken away from the roadway, and he continued to disobey officers’ commands, which led to his arrest.

During a search, officers found half of an oval-shaped pill that had a “3” imprinted on it, which was consistent with amphetamine, the report said. Officers also found what appeared to be three hand-rolled cannabis cigarettes in a black plastic container.

Body camera footage captured officers placing Doherty under arrest.

After paying his bond, Doherty walked out of jail Saturday night and shared his side of the story with NBC6.

“That was the worst 24-hours ever, I wish I did something crazier to make it worth it,” Doherty said.

Doherty claims he took too long to cross the road, and that’s why police arrested him.

“I think it was a little excessive, I’m not going to lie,” Doherty said. “There was no traffic; it was three in the morning. I think they just wanted to lock me up, but fair enough, learned my lesson.”

Doherty later got on social media outside of the jail to post videos to his followers, but he said he regrets how Saturday morning went.

“For sure, I would have definitely done it differently,” Doherty said.

Doherty is no stranger to South Florida.

In June 2024, Davie Police responded to a swatting call at Doherty’s Southwest Ranches home.

Body camera footage captured officers arriving at the front of the home and encountering Doherty’s head of security inside the gate, and they seemed to already know that the call was bogus.

According to an incident report, an officer had already seen that Doherty was streaming on Kick.com and was safe.

A few months later, in October, Doherty crashed his $200,000 McLaren during a livestream after appearing to look at his phone while driving in the rain.

The incident appears to have happened on the Florida Turnpike in Miami-Dade when the expensive sports car hydroplaned into a guardrail.

He streamed the crash on Kick, a streaming platform where his channel is now banned after the incident.

Doherty has nearly 15 million subscribers, and is known online for his controversial prank videos and wealth flaunting.
