An altercation between a man and a woman in Fort Lauderdale turned deadly on Tuesday after she jumped on the hood of his car and fell, police said.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, at around 2 a.m., officers received a report of a car accident in the 400 block of Southeast 32nd Street.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman who was critically injured, and she was taken to the Broward Health Medical Center, where she died.

Her identity was not released.
During their investigation, officers learned that the woman and the man, who knew each other, were involved in a physical altercation at a hotel.
At some point during the altercation, the man tried to leave in his vehicle, but the woman jumped on the car’s hood and fell off while it was moving.

The man then stopped the vehicle and called the police.
An investigation into the incident remains active.
