Gracie Jai Tellez, 20, and Robert Lee Ingram, 22, are facing charges of aggravated manslaughter of a child and neglect of a child causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement, Hollywood Police officials said.
Officers had responded to a home in the 2200 block of Farragut Street on Oct. 14, 2025, for a medical call involving an unresponsive infant.
According to an arrest warrant, Tellez had called 911 because her daughter appeared pale and cold to the touch.
The 7-week-old girl was given CPR at the scene and rushed to the hospital where she was placed on life support.

She later died from blunt force injuries, police said.
The warrant said the parents gave false statements about using their phones as baby monitors and instead were playing video games, watching YouTube and other activities.
“My investigation into this incident revealed that Robert ingram and Gracie Tellez provided multiple false and inconsistent statements to law enforcement in an attempt to conceal the true circumstances surrounding the death of their 7-week-old child,” the warrant said.
It went on to say that they both gave varying accounts about what happened in the hours leading up to the child being found unresponsive.
“Neither parent could provide any reasonable explanation for how the victim suffered her injuries. The types of injuries the victim suffered are caused by a violent impact and repeated acceleration/deceleration of the victim’s
head/neck (i.e. violent shaking),” the warrant said. “Although Robert Ingram and Gracie Tellez deny having any involvement in or knowledge of how the victim received her fatal injuries, they failed to or omitted to provide the proper care and supervision essential for her well-being.”
