Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said the victim, 44-year-old Lacurtis Knight, had been found lying on the grass swale in the 700 block of Southwest 10th Drive in Pompano Beach the morning of Aug. 23.
Knight, of Tamarac, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators later determined Knight had been riding his bicycle at another location, along the 400 block of Northeast 44th Street in Deerfield Beach, when he fell into the roadway.
Surveillance video obtained by detectives and released by BSO on Tuesday showed a car coming to a stop after running over Knight before the driver gets out, walks to where the body is lying in the roadway and looks at Knight, authorities said.
The driver then looked at the front of his car before getting back in and fleeing the scene.

Authorities haven’t said how Knight got from the Deerfield Beach location to the one in Pompano Beach.
Detectives believe the vehicle was dark blue or black and possibly a 2012-2022 Toyota Corolla, with a missing passenger side rear hubcap.
A CrimeStoppers reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
