The incident happened back in July after the woman left her shift at a cafe in Sweetwater and encountered 24-year-old Deglis Antoni Jarquin, an arrest report said.
The victim had seen him at the cafe on multiple previous occasions and got in his car for a ride home, he instead drove her to a dark area in Miami Gardens, the report said.
She said while they were parked, he suddenly kissed her on the mouth without her consent, the report said.

At one point, she said he “grabbed her by the neck with significant force” causing her to have difficulty breathing, before she started to struggle and jumped from the vehicle, falling to the pavement and scraping both of her knees, the report said.
She said Jarquin jumped on top of her and repeatedly struck her in the face then slammed the back of her head against the concrete several times and bit her on the stomach before he got back in his car and fled, the report said.
Jarquin was arrested Wednesday and booked into jail on kidnapping and battery charges. Attorney information wasn’t available.
