An overnight shooting in Kendall sent one person to the hospital, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, at around 9:45 p.m., deputies arrived in the area of Southwest 103rd Avenue and 172nd Street after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.

Deputies said when they arrived at the scene, they didn’t find anyone who had been shot.

While those deputies were investigating the area, another group arrived at a residence at the 1400 block of Tyler Street after getting reports of a person who had been shot.

At that location, deputies found a man with gunshot wounds, and he was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The man’s age or identity was not released.

MDSO said that detectives learned that the man was shot at the original location where they received the ShotSpotter alert, and then the man was dropped off at the home on Tyler Street.

No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the shooting.
