One person was rushed to the hospital after they were shot early Wednesday in central Broward, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded shortly before 2:30 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2800 block of Northwest Sixth Court, authorities said.
They found the victim near Northwest Seventh Street and Northwest 29th Terrace, and paramedics took them to the hospital.
Information on the victim’s age or condition was not immediately available. Authorities also did not provide information about a possible suspect.

“Detectives with BSO’s Crime Scene and Violent Crimes Unit were notified and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this shooting,” the sheriff’s office said.
