A fire in western Broward has burned thousands of acres Friday and could be seen from U.S. 27, according to authorities.

The Florida Forest Service said the fire has burned 3,600 acres and is 0% contained.
The flames are located in the Everglades, west of U.S. 27 and about 10 miles north of Interstate 75. The fire is not threatening homes at this time.
