Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed authorities pursuing a black Nissan Sentra on roadways throughout northwest Miami-Dade Thursday afternoon.

Officers, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputies and Florida Highway Patrol troopers pursued the car as multiple attempts to stop it with PIT maneuvers caused damage.

The Sentra kept going until authorities were successful with stopping the sedan and the suspect was taken into custody at Northwest 17th Avenue and 79th Street.

Officials haven’t confirmed whether the driver is the man involved in the earlier carjacking.

The man had been brought to the hospital on West 68th Street by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office under a Baker Act order but fled shortly after arriving, Hialeah Police officials said.

In the parking lot, the suspect approached a woman who was getting out of her vehicle and forced himself inside, police said.

As he fled in the vehicle, he struck another vehicle, police said.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed paramedics checking out the woman at the scene as authorities had a section of the parking lot closed off.

No injuries were reported and the incident remains under investigation, police said.
