An investigation is underway in Deerfield Beach on Tuesday after one person was killed in a three-car crash and three others were taken to the hospital, deputies said.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, at around 1:45 p.m., deputies received reports of a crash involving three vehicles near the 4400 block of Northeast Third Avenue.
Chopper 6 captured two cars that were damaged in the street, while another vehicle was seen crashed into a home’s front yard.

At the scene, investigators said one person was killed in the crash, and three others were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The deceased’s identity was not released.
Northeast Third Avenue, between Northeast 48th Street and 43rd, has since been shut down.
