A Pinecrest man was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to a woman while driving in South Miami and police believe he may be responsible for similar lewd acts.

Rogerio Miranda De Souza, 50, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of indecent exposure for an alleged incident that happened on May 15, South Miami Police said.
According to police, the alleged victim had left a gym in Brickell when she became aware she was being followed by a gray Tesla Model Y.
The Tesla followed her for several miles as the driver attempted to get her attention.
When she stopped near the intersection of S. Dixie Highway and Southwest 70th Street, she saw the Tesla’s driver, later identified as Miranda De Souza, had exposed himself and was engaging in a lewd act while looking directly at her, police said.

She contacted police and was able to give them the Tesla’s license plate number and a physical description of the driver.
Detectives identified the suspect as Miranda De Souza, and the victim was able to identify him as the suspect in a photo lineup, police said.
While investigating the case, detectives learned a neighboring law enforcement agency was investigating the same subject under similar circumstances, police said.
Detectives believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward and are asking anyone with information to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
