With several elections happening throughout South Florida in 2026, the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Office is reminding voters what type of ID they can use when hitting the polls.

When going to vote, a person must have a current and valid photo ID that includes a signature.
The most common form of ID is a person’s driver’s license. But there are several other forms of ID that you can use.
In a tweet on X, the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Office outlined all the acceptable forms of ID.

At the polls, voters can show the following forms of ID:
- Florida identification card from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
- U.S. passport
- Debit or credit card
- Military ID
- Student ID
- Retirement Center ID
- Neighborhood Association ID
- Public Assistance ID
The Florida primary elections will be held on Aug. 18, and the general election will take place on Nov. 3.
