Christopher Brayboy, 56, was charged with six counts of animal cruelty.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the home after receiving an anonymous tip that six dogs were locked in a cage.

An arrest report said that deputies spotted Brayboy looking through the mail, and then he left the exit of the home. He was then detained.

Brayboy told deputies that he was evicted from the home on Aug. 7, and that he would come to the home to feed the dogs and give them water, the report said. He was then taken to the Pompano Beach District Office.

Deputies then spoke with the homeowner, Henry Brayboy, who told them that he knew about the dogs and would come to the home every couple of days to feed and give them water, the report said.

Henry said that he told Christopher to remove the dogs from the home, but he never did. Although Christopher was evicted, Henry let him enter the backyard to take care of the dogs, the report said.

Deputies said that the dogs appeared underweight and looked like they weren’t fed everyday, the report said.
