Romero-Rodriguez swung the machete, hitting the neighbor on his left ear, the report said.
The neighbor’s wife said things could have been worse.
“What stopped the machete from slicing my husband’s either neck or face was my son’s arm, because my son did have him on a choke hold, trying to push my husband back, then my husband noticed he was bleeding,” she said.
