Authorities have arrested one person allegedly involved in a mail theft caught on video in a Fontainebleau neighborhood.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service said the theft happened at Midway Gardens Apartments in the area of Northwest 7th Street and Northwest 82nd Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. Monday.
The crime was caught on surveillance video, in which a man can be seen getting out of the backseat of a white SUV, opening the door to the mailboxes and throwing envelopes into the vehicle before the driver pulls away.

Postal inspectors and Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested one person, 43-year-old Ihab Sulaiman, in the theft on Wednesday, authorities said.
NBC6 is working to obtain details about Sulaiman’s arrest.
Residents said it’s not the first time there’s been a mail theft reported at the complex or others in the area. After the theft, the neighborhood distributed flyers warning residents to stay alert, and warning the thief that they had been caught on video.
