According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, there were two street takeovers in Miami-Dade: one near Doral and the other in Northwest Miami-Dade.
An arrest report said deputies were able to identify Alvarez as the driver of a vehicle that was doing donuts in the intersection.
Alvarez, the report said, was wearing a ski mask while participating in both takovers.
During the street takeover in Northwest Miami-Dade, a Miami-Dade deputy was injured after a suspect launched a firework at them, and it exploded.
Hours later, three people who were hurt were taken to the hospital after being injured in the takeover near Doral.
Over 100 people were at the takeover watching the vehicles driving recklessly, the report said.

“If you see a street takeover happening, please call the police immediately, call 911, and we will respond,” said Det. Luis Sierra.
