Two brothers from Hialeah have been arrested following an investigation into drug trafficking in Miami-Dade, authorities said.

Alexander and Anthony Sanchez, both 29, are facing one count each of cocaine trafficking, possession of cocaine, and money laundering, as well as four counts of possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials said Tuesday.
According to the FDLE, the investigation began in April when the South Florida State Assistance for Fentanyl Eradication Task Force received information that the brothers were selling drugs in the Miami-Dade area.

On July 1, the brothers were taken into custody during an operation involving the task force and Hialeah Police.
During a search of their home, FDLE and FBI agents found 480 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a rifle, ammunition and more than $58,000 in cash, authorities said.

Both of the brothers were booked into jail. The investigation remains active.
