Tyquan Lamar Howard, 25, was arrested Monday on charges of attempted murder and criminal mischief, Miami-Dade jail records showed.

According to an arrest report, the alleged incident happened back on the afternoon of June 18, when Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a ShotSpotter alert near the 2100 block of Northwest 79th Terrace.

The victim said he was working as an Uber Eats delivery driver and drove past the suspect, then said he received an notification directing him to pick up an order so he made a U-turn and drove past the suspect again, the report said.

As he drove past the second time, he said he saw the suspect reach into his waistband, pull out a gun and shoot at him, the report said.

The bullet hit the front driver’s side tire, causing it to deflate, but the Uber Eats driver wasn’t injured.

Surveillance footage captured the shooting and helped investigators identify Howard as the gunman, the report said.

When Howard was taken into custody investigators found clothing and shoes matching what the shooter was wearing, along with a gun that matched the same caliber as the gun used, the report said.
