According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies received reports of a crash in the 100 block of Allen Road.

When deputies and crews with Broward Fire Sheriff Rescue arrived at the scene, they found the child, who was suffering from injuries, and he was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he died.

The child’s identity was not released.
Deputies said the driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene.
No arrests have been made as the investigation into the incident remains active.
