On Tuesday, Norway beat Ivory Coast with a last minute goal, France overpowered Sweden 3-0 and Mexico advanced to the Round of 16 with a convincing 2-0 victory over Ecuador.

Then, England narrowly defeated DR Congo 2-1 after Harry Kane scored twice in the closing minutes on Wednesday. Belgium followed the comeback result with one of its own, stunning Senegal 3-2 deep in extra time after trailing 2-0 until the 86th minute. The USMNT ended the day with a 2-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina despite falling to 10 men in the second half.
