A pursuit in Miami-Dade on Monday night ended after troopers performed a PIT maneuver on a fleeing Mercedes, but the driver remains on the loose, troopers said.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers spotted the back Mercedes driving erratically south of Interstate 95 near Northwest 62nd Street.

When troopers tried to do a traffic stop, the driver tried to flee.

A pursuit then ensued, and troopers performed a PIT maneuver on the Mercedes, and it came to a stop on Interstate 395.

Troopers said that the driver got out of the car and fled the area on foot.

A search for the driver was then conducted, but they have not been found.

During a search of the suspect’s Mercedes, two guns were found.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation is underway.
